Laser Dentistry
Laser Dentistry works by using a combination of laser energy and water to provide efficient and comfortable dentistry. It can be used in areas of cavity preparation, decay removal, Endodontics, Periodontics and soft tissue procedures. Below are two types of laser dentistry we utilise:
- Diode Laser – is used by our Hygienists to treat gum disease and gingivitis. The laser kills bacteria and stimulates good healing in the gums.
- Water Laser – is used by our Dentists to shape and change the gums, cut tooth structure and clean out fissures. It can also be used in surgery (the resulting wounds bleed less, heal faster and are less painful).
